FAQ: When to Expect Your Credit Card to Be Authorized
For domain registration orders, authorization occurs as soon as the order is submitted.
For binding pre-orders and domain renewal charges, authorization occurs five days prior to the domain’s launch date or renewal date, respectively.
If the authorization attempt fails in any of these cases, the corresponding order will not proceed.
